I followed those steps, and inserted a Spotify URL.

It embeds it in the page but doesn’t show the sticky player.

Ah damn, that’s really poor design.

It’s the most important feature of the theme and the most necessary use case for it. It’s the sole reason I bought it.

I don’t need more and more features, I only need one. The best feature of the theme, the reason I bought it, is the cool looking sticky player.

Podcasts are all about Spotify etc., that’s where 99% of them are hosted.

Not connecting the two makes the whole theme entirely pointless.

Simple – Link a podcast on eg Spotify, and have it play via the sticky player.

I want to promote lots of podcasts, it will be too much work to copy and upload each one.

I don’t understand the permissions issue. If it can embed & play why can’t it just be the player instead.

If you mean I have to pay for it, no. As said it should be a minimal feature of the basic theme. It’s what I thought I was paying for.

If all you can do is embed a podcast in a post then that’s what any WordPress theme can do, and there’s no point in buying this one, it’s supposed to be a ‘Podcast Theme’.
