what can I do to change the color of the inactive menu items and the size?

I tried:

nav .menu > li > a, nav .menu > li.hasSubMenu::after, header#header .header_tools .vert_mid > a:not(#trigger-overlay), header#header .header_tools .cart .cart_icon {
color: #A29080;
font-size: 14px;
}

Nothing happens.

If I use !important with the color, it changes the color of the active as well.
