I’ve installed the theme in June this year and since then everything was ok. Without updating WP, the theme or the plugins (only yesterday I’ve tried to update the Visual Composer) the Revolution slider, the icons and the shortcodes are not displayed. There is no php error in the error_log and nothing in the browser console (JS, CSS).
Did you update theme as well? If not please update theme. It has important updates and is set to be fully compatible with the latest Visual Composer. If you already did, then please recreate the elements that are not displaying icons.

You can still update it by overwriting only the changed files. If you made changes to these files too, then you will have to redo them. Please find a full change log in our theme’s profile in Themeforest.
That does not mean that updates are missing. It means that in those theme updates, no files where changed, only plugins where updated. However vs 1.2.6 is still very old. You need to get the latest theme update (and plugins) for the site to run without any issue.
