The available options for portfolio items are quite ineffective to offer an ergonomic way of visualising photos.
I would like to know how can I use a revolution slider in order to show portfolio slide show photos.
Sorry but is not possible to use Revolution Slider in portfolio items. You can use the gallery option to display images. Find it at Single Portfolio Options > Page Style > Add/Edit Slides.

You can use shortcodes into portfolio item content to make it more dynamic. If you do not wish to use the current settings, then just do not add any information in the custom fields. Or images to slider. You can add/remove any part of portfolio items content by editing these files:
-\includes\view\portfolio\single-container.php
-\includes\view\portfolio\single-floating.php
-\includes\view\portfolio\single-fullwidth.php
-\includes\view\portfolio\single-gallery.php
What do you mean by keeping the header on top of the page? The header will not be affected by changes in content.
