Try to disable the parallax effect for the codeless slider on the home page:

Also disable the smooth scroll on the Theme Options > Smooth Scroll Off
Check again and let us know .
If the problem persist only on the slider try to use another slider like revolution.

You must delete or change the same lines at /css/bootstrap-responsive.css file (line 1361):
.codeless_slider .swiper-slide .content h1{ font-size:16px !important; line-height:26px !important; }
As there is used ‘!important’, the css code you added at the custom css box isn’t recognized.
You must install retina plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-retina-2x/ if you want your images retina.
It will request you to upload a bigger image (x2 bigger) per image you have uploaded.

You can change it at functions.php
add_image_size( 'blog', 825, 340, true );
Then re-upload the image.

They come from the plugin you have installed “meks flexible shortcodes”, they aren’t part of the theme.
