The latest theme update have nothing to do with the meta description that is generated by Yoast Plugin and not by the theme.

We have removed the Twitter and Google Plus icon. I think your problem was caused by cache. I have also added the phone number above the Social Icons you can change the text by accessing the Text widget into Apperances > Widgets > Header Widgetized Area > Text
P.S I recommend to remove the cache plugin. To speed up your website you have only to compress your images that are too big. Use compressnow.com
The issue is caused because you have tried to use the equal height option on the columns. To resolve the issue, please try to emulate the same way i have done with the first image. Remove the column image and replace it with media image. This will resolve your issue with the responsive.
Another way is to add custom css to any of the column and set a fixed height like i have done for the other images.
I have give to any column with background image a fixed height by adding a custom css. The css codes are written in the css panel of the Visual Composer.
