I updated everything, installed the extra plugin and ended up with a Layer Slider WP not working anymore.
This happened on 2 separate sites.

I rolled back to Specular 4.0.7 to solve the issue.

Looking forward to an update.

In version 2.6.1 in /specular/includes/core/codeless_slideshow.php on line 60 it says:

$this->options['layer_slider_id'] = is_numeric($cl_redata['layerslider'])+1;

resulting in the wrong slideshow showing up, just as reported in the OP.
Since I’ve used a work around to show the proper slider I don’t have a page where you can see this error – and it would be hard for anyone to really know whether the shown slider is or is not intended to be shown anyhow.
