I realize now that the links do work for the Service Icon Circle element. But if you just highlight the icon itself, the circle color changes, but the link isn’t activated. You need to click the title to activate the link.

in reply to: Business 5 demo sliders missingThey worked out fine. One more request – may I also have the ‘about’ alias Revolution slider for Business 5 Demo? Thanks for your help.

in reply to: Demo Data Import ProblemsHi, I do admit that all along, there is difficulty in getting dummy data to install. The import gets stuck at a certain unfinished percentage, no matter how long I wait for it to finish. I try importing content, theme settings and widgets separately to get it to complete. I check Include Attachments, also. I keep getting the same results both online and offline. I have the example of what I get for demo Default up on our website for you to look at. The main menu, as I’ve been saying is very incomplete and even if I fix that, the pages in the sub-menus are often empty. Perhaps I’m never able to complete the importing process properly? Your assistance and advice would be appreciated. Thanks – Jeff
in reply to: Demo Data Import ProblemsI’ve been very specific. The main menu that comes with dummy data in demo ‘Default’ does not have anything but empty titles, not even set to ‘megamenus’ under “Portfolio” and “Elements”. “Blog” and “Pages” were almost empty. Not anywhere near the displayed like online demo. The details of them are important to demo theme’s features. Not just to sell us on them, but as an example to use as a fast tutorial. When you give us demos that do not have these menus appearing in the dummy data, and incomplete pages, I might add, you are depriving us of seeing the back-end settings for that demoed feature. You make the user have to waste time to figure it out when we thought this was a working example to show us instantly how to do it.
Wordpress developers normally expect demo dummy data to be complete. I’m getting severely incomplete pages and menu in the current Default demo. You have perfect copies on your online demos. Why only provide us with mediocre, incomplete dummy data that we have to work at and waste time to make appear as online?
That’s not what you promised with your online template builder feature. It’s not only the pictures missing when you yourself had to “set up the footer with 4 columns” to fix the Business Landing demo for me to get it to look like the demo online. I spent way too much time reconstructing demo Default’s main menu and have found the actual pages on “Blog” menu items severely lacking in content displayed in the online demo version, and that’s after having to really guess at which pages to put on that menu myself.

in reply to: Demo Data Import Problems> The only content related to Codeless.co would be some links of the demo sites in the menu and perhaps some images links. This is nothing you can not replace. It is used for demonstration purpose only.
> Other demos have the pages used to build them, but the number of them is less than the demo. So basically you can re-create every other demo from the default one.
I appreciate your help. But you just had to fiddle around with all kinds of settings, layout, etc. to complete that demo.
I am very disappointed with your demos & dummy data! The Default demo’s menu is seriously incomplete. It took me much time to reconstruct it and when finished, the blog pages were so incomplete as to be useless.
Business5 demo requires several sliders that are not even available in the slider dummy data provided.
You say that these are for demonstration purposes only. You don’t seem to understand the purposes of demos! They are for being complete so that a user doesn’t have to guess, but is saved the time. A real demo shows users all the features of a theme and allows them to look at how it is all set up on the back-end. If you provide only incomplete demos that don’t have this back-end completeness, then you are wasting my time and yours supporting me.
“…demonstration purpose only” The whole purpose of demos is to be very complete…otherwise they are useless as productivity tools to aid fast learning! They are also supposed to save your company support time, not increase it!
in reply to: Demo Data Import ProblemsThanks for your informative response. I was mostly bothered by that duplication effect which you explained. I did empty my db in my many attempts to get the results I thought I should expect.
I really would appreciate you assistance in getting the complete Business Landing demo on my online website, because this is the template I customized online. I’m still not getting the expected slider when I try to import it.
It would be nice if you offered zipped installs for each demo.
Thanks!
