I tried to change the page header height to 550px, but the page’s keeps loading the save button and does not save. I checked and there are some important files not being found from the server. See screenshot: https://postimg.org/image/ycq937zff/
Please contact your host and make sure you do have all necessary rights to access all theme and plugins files.
As for the page header title, you can style it with css. I added this code into your custom css box in General Options:

.header_page.with_subtitle.centered .titles h1 {
    letter-spacing: 1px !important;
    line-height: 1;
}
.header_page.with_padding_style.with_subtitle .titles {
    width: 1100px !important;
}
.header_page.with_padding_style.with_subtitle.centered .titles h1 {
    background: rgba(249, 248, 248, 0.70);
}

You have many third party plugins installed in your site. Please deactivate them and try again. We have already tested the current theme with the latest WordPress 4.9.1, Visual composer 5.2 and PHP 7.0 and such issue does not happen.
Please make sure to have your browser updated and deactivate any add-ons installed in it.
We will soon update theme and of course all of it’s included plugins not only VC. But even withe current versions, this is an issue that is not present on our side.

Do you have any third party plugins installed? Please deactivate them all and try again. If the issue persists, send us some valid wp credentials in a private reply. So we can give it a look.
The new Visual Composer is tested with the latest theme and WordPress and this does not happen. So we need to find what is causing it in your side.

Yes, you can. Add this code into your custom css box in the General Options:

#portfolio-filter ul li.active {
    background-color: #ed832f !important;
    border-radius: 10px !important;
}

Change the color and border radius to your wish.

By default the portfolio and testimonials (if added to the page with Visual Composer) should not be hidden. If this happens then something is interfering with theme scripts. Do you have any third party plugins installed? Can you please deactivate them and try again? Did you perhaps add any additional css in the custom css box?
Can you send us some wp credentials in a private reply? So we can check this closely.

Are you referring to the post category page? This is depended from the blog layout you have chosen. Please make sure first that that the blog layout is with sidebar in General Options > Blog Config > Layout.
Then add widgets to the “Sidebar Blog“.

Do you have any other code in it? perhaps a missing coma or bracket has nullified the code. I can give it a look if you want. Just add some valid wp credentials in your profile data.
