-You can set the home page in General Options > Select Special Pages. It will update the Settings > Readings value too.
I already changed it to “home” for you.
-can you please be more specific? What issue do you have with sticky header? To set it ON/OFF just go to General Options > Header Options > Sticky Header.

Do you have a Codeless slider running? In that case, you need to check for the same option in every slider of the slide you are using. Go to Codeless Slider > Slides > Layout > Menu & Slider Navigation Color, make sure it is the dark version selected, for all the slides of the slider.

This is strange. The responsive feature does not affect only certain pages, but the hole site. Can you please send us some valid credentials in a private reply? So we can give it a closer look.

To make the site run faster there are some things you could do. Like delete plugins you do not need; delete pages/posts already created by the dummy data import process but that you do not use. Optimize images, install a cache plugin..etc. Please read this article for more information.
Sorry for misunderstanding. The slider you are mentioning in the demo is a Revolution slider.
You could import slider “construction” from the sliders folder and edit it’s content to your wish.(look at your main downloadable folder for folder “sliders”)
Or edit your slide yourself. To have the gray background, go to slide style and set it “construct_div” (screenshot).
