When you select one sidebar layout (either left ot right) it will automatically choose the default sidebar, which is the “Sidebar Pages.” You can select the sidebar to use only in case of two sidebar layout.

I assume you found out where to remove it. However, for others that may have your issue, that is the Top Nav bar. you can add/remove it in Header Options > Top Widgetized Area > Show Top Navigation.

I imported the Construction demo data successfully. I imported the main slider and some of the images too. You can import other sliders from your downloadable main folder\sliders (themeforest-11941335-tower-businessdriven-multipurpose-wp-theme\sliders).
I setup the first main configurations, please continue with further customization.
As for the child theme, that comes included in main theme folder. When you install theme for the first time, it uploads child theme too. I already imported that too.

The green bulb function is for the user to be able to create a new template according to it’s need’s and wishes. Then you can download the dummy data to import in your host. The green bulb is a feature of only the online default demo. It has no function in other demos or even in your site.
