So messing with this more, I did figure out how to edit this in a workaround way. The Icon text was uneditable because the hover menu completely blocks being able to select the text to edit it. I could not add items previous because it was not at all intuitive that I had to click the corner of the box?! I could then add a new icon with new text.
I am sorry but that advice does not work at all. If it was that easy I would not be posting.
Everything is editable on the page save for many of the header blocks. I do not get any of the side menus shown in the video nor do I get the plus buttons on the lower right. When I edit either in normal wordpress or the wp bakery that came with the template. I was able to select and delete icons that I did not want – I cannot add anything back to that corner. Nor can I edit any of the text simply by selecting it.
It would be good to have a more in depth heading editor beyond the setup wizard that has ALL the heading setting in one place to tweak. I spent more time trying to tweak the heading than anything else on the site and there are still part that I have not been able to adjust because I can’t find where to change them.
I was able to figure this out before anyone replied – there are apparently about 6 settings that need to be changed on every page for this to work. If anyone can help with any info on changing site defaults or templates so I do not have to keep doing this, it would be helpful. I haven’t been able to find site defaults for all the header setting and not just the few in the appearance menu, that would be helpful.
I have extra padding on my home page as well between the menu an the first content slider. I cannot find any place in wordpress or the header that allows me to adjust or correct this.
