We last spoke 8 months ago as I was having issues with the compatibility of my theme with wordpress (see above thread). I was advised that by version 3.0 my issues would be resolved but I see that you’ve been working your way up through version 2 so still my issues are there now 1 year down the line….
Can you advise what is happening please, or will I need to look for a new theme?
So just to check I’m clear, I should not update my website to the latest version of Tower (2.9.6)? What will happen when future updates of the theme are rolled out – will I be able to update my website to those?
Thank you for answering my questions. I’ve pushed staging to production, disabled the jQuery Migrate helper plugin and the website looks to be ok at the moment.
The only outstanding issue is that the breadcrumb navigation is still there. Can I switch it off somewhere within the theme without breaking something else?
The version of Tower on the website is 2.9.4.
I have my hosting with GoDaddy and will be syncing the sites – pushing staging to production.
Are you able to answer my questions please? I’m a little bit concerned about the continuing compatibility issues between WordPress and the Tower theme and do feel like my questions on this subject are being avoided. Are you planning on making the Tower theme compatible with the latest version of WordPress so that custom changes will not be required? I would be grateful if you could let me know so that I can consider the future of my website’s theme.
So how do I resolve the problems on my website then please? I need to know the next steps please based on the changes you have made to the staging site.

* Remove the hyperlinks on the headings underneath ‘Why Me’ – I don’t have landing pages for those headers.
You mentioned that the breadcrumb navigation will disappear when the theme is updated, however it looks like you(?) have updated the theme on this staging site to the latest version…. Is there something else I need to update?
Also, can I now disable the jQuery migrate helper plugin?
Let me know so that I can get the staging pushed to live and hopefully have a fully up-to-date and working website.

There are just a few things, which are actually mostly the custom changes I had previously asked you to do (on the homepage):
Homepage –
* Banner image – ‘Get in touch’ button not working. Should link to: http://h9v.499.myftpupload.com/contact-me/
