2- Please check the theme is updated successfully on your site.

You’ve selected both sticky and transparent styles for the header because of which the styling of both styles is mixing with each other which is making the layout worse. However, if you have selected the other style of the page header as you do for the rest of your pages, you may not get this issue.

2- The changes you will make in the parent theme will be gone whenever you update the theme. However, if you make changes inside the child theme then you don’t need to worry about those changes. Those changes will not be affected if you update the child theme.

There’s no such option to change post order by default, however, you can do this by using a plugin “Post Types Order”.
Please check I have done this on your site. Now posts are in ascending order. You can also change their order by just simply drag and drop. For further information regarding
