I will request you to do the followings:
#1: Take the backup of Current Website
#2: List all the changes you requested or made
#3: Give the Access us and we will make changes
or you can setup website some where on temporary server and we can make change there then you can migrate back to live server.

Here is Solution:
Setup another Webhost and clone your website there, i will update theme there and make small changes as you mentioned above and then you can move from temporary host to main (live site).

or
We will update theme and tell me changes i will made those for you.
