Thank you. Will the changes that you made to the parent theme files be carried over into theme updates?
This reply has been marked as private.Hello, thank you for offering to fix this as it is crucial. In addition to fixing the layouts for Modern and Fullscreen – Can you also fix it so that the default Blog Post Style for newly created posts is either the default one selected at the theme level or make it Normal? I have Normal selected at Specular > Blog Config > Post Style but when I create a new blog post it keeps defaulting to Modern for some reason. This is also very important since when I upload new posts it is defaulting to Modern as well.
Also, please do not install and turn on the Codeless Starter Sites plugin. It was causing a major conflict where it was making both the backend and frontend of the site load very very slow. If you want to test – install it and activate it and you will see the issue with the load times both in the backend and the frontend.
***IMPORTANT***
Lastly, whatever fixes and changes you make can you please list them out for me so that I can keep track of them? I want to make sure that we don’t lose any of them if/when there is a theme update. I have made a backup of the site and database.Hello, I posted this in the important update thread. However, I am now having significant issues because I need to import 200+ posts and when I import them the default blog post style is modern (which is broken) instead of Normal.
How can this be fixed?
Also, why create a theme with the Modern and Fullscreen layouts for blog posts if it’s not going to work? Both are broken and only the Normal one works.
Can we please fix this?
in reply to: Featured Image Serving CroppedThe issue here was actually the 825×340 blog post image that your theme registers for WP to create. This is a custom image size that also crops the original image when it is uploaded. This is 100% caused by the theme. When I turned that custom size off so that it is not generated when an image is uploaded that fixed the problem and now blog posts render the original image that’s uploaded.
Regenerating thumbnails wouldn’t help in this instance since your theme registers for that custom size to be generated and it crops the image. It’s also what the theme looks for and uses for blog post featured images if it finds it.
Not sure how you don’t know this since you guys are the theme authors.
in reply to: Elementor Widget not LoadingI downgraded the elementor plugin to 3.5.6 and it now works. There is something causing a conflict in the Specular theme with the latest version of elementor which is 3.6.2
Can you please fix this in the next theme update?
in reply to: Important Update Required!I have the “Normal” option selected in Specular > Blog Config > Post Style option. However, when I create a new post the default option is always “Mordern” whose style is broken for some reason and doesn’t display correctly.
How can I make the default option for new posts to be “Normal” by default without having to select “Normal” every time a new post is created?

Do you know when that next theme update will be released? Is there any chance that it can be fixed on my instance while the release happens?
thank you!
