in reply to: Site hacked after contacting Codeless Support
Hi.
The reason why you were hacked is because Azam requests FTP access and then asks you to change the permissions of folders. Specifically your home folder to 777. This creates a security flaw and an open door for hackers.
in reply to: Vjosa Slider Mobile IssueHi,
As a web developer I certainly understand the need to access files and folders to make appropriate changes. I gave you access to the WP files you needed to make your changes.
Asking to change the permissions of a home folder to 777 is not necessary at all. I’m sure you’re aware of the security implications of setting any folder in a directory to 777. Setting a (home) folders permissions to 777 would mean that absolutely anybody could modify, hack, upload any content to a server. It’s not only not best practice, it’s a serious security risk. If you truly need someone to make a permissions change (which you don’t) 755 would be about it.
This should be a red flag for anyone buying this theme. You immediately ask for FTP access. I can only assume you also request a permissions change as well. Scary.

in reply to: Vjosa Slider Mobile IssueHi,
After you requested a permissions change I’m no longer comfortable providing access to you. I’d rather just consider this a loss and move on.
Thanks,
B
in reply to: Vjosa Slider Mobile IssueHi,
I’m able to access the home folder with the same credentials. I’m not going to set permissions to 777 that’s bad practice and not particularly safe. If you only need to push some config changes or replace a file can you send me your changes? I can upload them.
Thanks,
B

I can’t see your Google Drive document. I’m going to assume you’re seeing the static HTML landing page that I put together and not the WP build. The static page loads fine on all devices.
Thanks again,
B

Sure. On mobile devices videos in the Vjosa slider do not autoplay on page load. This occurs regardless of the video size. I’m assuming there is a setting that I’m not seeing that is disabling autoplay? I can’t send you a screenshot or video since I’m testing on an actual device. In Firefox the only way to replicate it is to throttle to emulate 2g or 3g wireless then the video will not play.
Thanks!

Thank you! It is displaying correctly now. For future reference, where should the image be updated? This logo may change in the future.
