Our site was hacked after getting support to help with uploading the demo content into our Livecast template. We have had to delete WP and now starting again. Has anyone else had this experience?
Seems really suss that after privately sharing login details to the support keymaster that the site has been hacked. We were basically locked out and the themes were changed to default Twenty Twenty themes.
We now feel we cant trust Codeless and use the template we bought and will be seeking a refund. Can someone from support please contact us urgently.

Hi.
The reason why you were hacked is because Azam requests FTP access and then asks you to change the permissions of folders. Specifically your home folder to 777. This creates a security flaw and an open door for hackers.

Hi,
Syndicate291 your scenario and his are different you are not providing even the required access which makes us unable to make any changes.
In your case we can’t even access home directory for which I have asked you to give permission but as you have said you already given so as a wild card I have asked you to change permission to 777 for a little period in order to make changes.
I apologize for any misunderstanding but as a fellow developer you can understand how much necessary is file permission to make any changes.
Thanks- This reply was modified 1 year ago by azam.

The last two replies make no sense to us. Azam DID NOT request FTP access and DID NOT ask us to change the permissions of folders. We already gave permission to Codeless to make changes and they did make changes and the template worked until the next day when someone went and changed it again to a completely different template. Nobody asked us to make changes to permission to 777. We are not fellow developers and we don’t understand what you are saying but to repeat nobody asked us to change permissions. Please issue the refund we have asked you for, several times now.
