I am setting up a Web site for a client using the Specular OnePage theme and want to add a text link that scrolls down to the bottom of the page (where a contact form currently is) just like the menu navigation works. I added the anchor link and it skips down quickly as expected, but what do I need to do to get it to have the same smooth scrolling functionality?
You have already added your scrolling code can you please here so I can change that to add that nice scrolling effect. As I am not sure which code you are using.
Oh, I didn’t know I needed to add jQuery code for the link. I thought if smooth scroll was selected in customize appearance and a link was set to be an anchor, that it would just work. It works fine with the navigation links at the top of the page.
So, what do I need to do exactly? Do I need to find/install a smooth scroll plugin and set it up that way or does the theme already have something in place that I can use?
