  I try to edit my below product attributes. The product attributes will be missing after I edit and I click save.

  Color and size showed up
  
  Please, create attributes and select ‘use for variations’ option, then go to variations tab to add quantity etc.

  I saved it and it works, Click the save attribute button, then Update the post
