breadcrumbs/headers Posts and Pages

breadcrumbs and header

After updating to the latest version of the theme from download off envato, some headers are messed up.

I don’t know why breadcrumbs and header aren’t appearing on these pages and there may be others. It wouldn’t make sense that a theme developer would have all the setting erased on pages and posts regarding breadcrumbs every time a customer upgrades the theme, would it?

In checking one of the pages that look right, under Edit > General Settings > Page Header Options > “overwrite the default page options”, the setting show On (blue highlight). One of the pages that look wrong, has the same setting “overwrite the default page options”, as grey Off

I have vague recollections of something being messed up here and I corresponded with you about it on May 28.

Now, when I make a new blank post, it shows the breadcrumbs which I DO NOT WANT

On my old blogs, which are posts, it is showing breadcrumbs which I DO NOT WANT

When I made the site, I could control on a page-by-page basis, and a post-by-post basis whether or not the default page/post heading would appear. Now it seems that my customization on some pages is lost and on some posts is lost.

Do you think that globally there is one default setting to make breadcrumbs appear by default (on/off) on all posts?
Do you think that globally there is one default setting to make breadcrumbs appear by default (on/off) on all pages?
Do you think I can control on individual pages and posts whether or not the default setting for breadcrumbs will either be implemented or not?

I’m sorry that I don’t recall if there was some global settings that I did when I made the site and some customizations thereafter. I know that in May, a lot of the breadcrumbs were wrong and I had to go in manually and fix pages or posts, but I don’t remember which ones.

I’m questioning if my page and post customizations are getting overridden when the theme is updated. If so, I want to report this problem to the theme developer. None-the-less, I hope I can understand how the theme works so that I can avoid the breadcrumbs getting messed up when and update of the theme is installed.

What perplexes me is that I went through manually in May and fixed the breadcrumbs on each page or post (or at least a whole bunch of them) and now they are messed up again. If a theme is working correctly, and being updated correctly, shouldn’t the customized breadcrumb settings be kept from one version of the theme to the next?

We are trying to make theme more consistent and with more global options:

Global Options on Theme Options -> header -> Default Page Header

Specific for pages/posts: you can set to show or not to show at all the page header

Now the difference is that your posts can display simple page header, that was a bug in previous versions

Products -> you can switch page header yes/no, only that

Sorry for the inconvenience. We have made an update to fulfill the wp requirements (the new one) and it was mandatory to make these changes

      Thanks

So what is the fix for this issue?  Does one really have to go through their website page by page and fix every header???  Our website is huge and it is absolutely crazy that only part of our header is being seen when we have changed no settings and I cant seem to adjust any settings to make it right? What is the solution here?
