I have unexpectedly and randomly come across an issue when trying to edit a page in the WordPress backend using the Specular theme.
For example, I am seeing buttons that say “attempt block recovery” with messaging stating “This block contains unexpected or invalid content.” Any time I try to edit a block and then apply the changes to the page, the live preview breaks up the layout further. Previously available Gutenberg options are no longer showing up in the navigation. I also notice a lot of the previously set CSS and animations are not functioning properly.
I just purchased support for this Specular theme and would appreciate assistance as soon as possible as this is for a client website.
The URLs in question are:
I also have screenshots that I can provide of the backend if necessary.

Hi,
It seems that you’re using an old version of the codeless Specular theme. Please update your specular theme and related plugins then check does the issue is resolved, if not then answer the below question.1- Does this issue occur recently, if yes then share recent changes you’ve made on your site i.e. installed a new plugin, updated core plugin, made changes in theme or plugin file.
Sometimes the issue is due to a third-party plugin, try deactivating all third-party plugins then activating them individually to check is there a plugin that causing the issue.
P.S: Take a backup of your site before updating the theme or plugins as a precaution.
Thanks,

Hi,
Reset your site to the previous version and share WP-Admin, FTP credentials(username, password) using the private reply option also share the recent major changes you’ve made on your site as this issue seems to have occurred recently. Moreover, share the screenshots you’ve mentioned above. Thanks,

Hi,
The problem is due to the conflict between the default Gutenberg Editor and the advanced WPBakery page builder. Both can’t work with each other. As we’ve noticed, you’ve used the Gutenberg editor for page editing. We recommend using WPBakery Backend page builder for page editing purposes because it’s more advanced, reliable, and secure. You can see the difference in the pages built with the WPBakery page builder. For the pages on which you’ve done styling through Gutenberg editor, now they’re in a weird condition because the styling on it wiped out when you updated your theme. There’re two solutions for them, one is to rebuild them using WPBakery, and the other is to restore your site to the last good version/backup where they’re in a good condition.
Thanks,

Hello,
Thank you for your feedback.
Are you able to assist with downgrading WordPress/the plugins to the last working version? I’ve attempted to do it but the pages won’t reflect correctly. It’s traditionally worked before but now it’s not.
Thanks
