I read several topics about my request of placing buttons (linking to pages) in a footer column, having the style of a tag cloud.
I suppose that is is not possible in specular (but also in many more themes).
So here I post my solution:
1) I placed “tag cloud” widget in one of the footer columns and set “portfolio categories” as taxonomy
2) I created one portfolio category for every page I need to link. I created at least one portfolio item for each category (we do not really need the portfolio item but the category must not be empty becouse if it is empty no button appears inside the widget)
3) I installeed a redirection plugin to redirect each category button to the specific page I want to be linked.
In this way I get several portfolio tags buttons inside the widget which really link to the pages I want.
It seems working, hope it will be useful for anyone.
Are you referring to the tags in the second footer column? These are not buttons but just Tag Cloud widget. The only way to add buttons in footer is to use the Custom HTML widget. See screenshot: https://postimg.cc/4YPKM01d
