Hello, I have tried several ways to load the demo content. I have tried all, and the each one individually and each time when I save it says “Settings Saved but no demo data is ever loaded. I have tried several different theme versions and nothing works. Please advise.

Can someone please respond to this? I originally put this in the comments and was asked to create a support ticket and provide login details, which I’ve done, I would like to get the demo data installed asap.

Hello,
I see there is already content in your site. Some pages and images. What demo are you trying to import? Please know that some demos are build of very few pages (such as Minimal demo or One page) so you shouldn’t expect to see many pages imported.

I am trying to load the corporate business content. If it means replacing what is there, please go ahead because it doesn’t seem to load any demo content.

also, if you look at what is there on the site now none of the shortcodes are working. they are actually appearing on the pages as if the visual composer isn’t working. If you go to this page https://www.lodestoneinc.ca/sample-page/ the breadcrumbs are appearing behind the navigation. There is some strange things going on with this theme!

Also, I tried to load a template into a page using the Visual Composer and it loads the shortcodes and shows the [ ] instead of converting them to whatever is supposed to show. You can see this on the homepage and on the resources page!

I just updated the theme to the latest version and now the Visual composer wont allow me to use it. This is so frustrating. We will soon be asking for a refund if we don’t get some support!

Sorry for the late reply.
You have issues but it’s not from theme side. The dummy data import does not have any issue and is a process already tested multiple times. I deactivated the third party plugins in case they were conflicting with theme scripts but the import does not start. This is not normal and please know that it’s NOT theme’s fault.
There are several reasons for the import to fail. Such as:-Server configurations: You may need to increase other server variables such as execution time limit, enough access rights on themes files and file upload limit. Contact your host regarding it. Please read this article for more information regarding the dummy data import issue.
-check if your host doesn’t accept XML files to import. The dummy data files need to be archived as gzip.
-I don’t understand what issue do you have with Visual Composer. It is completely okay to use it. There is no issue and definitely it does not stop you from using theme. Can you please be more specific on your issue?
-I have however set up your site like the demo you requested. Please check it. You are completely able to continue customizing the content to your wish.

Hi, thanks for loading the demo content, I would be curious to know how you managed to do this when I couldn’t do it and you suggest that there is either a server issue or an xml issue, but thanks just the same.
The issue I am having with visual composer is when trying to use the templates. When I go to load a template I get the following and I can’t use the templates!

You are searching in the wrong place. Visual Composer is already present in every page you create, just add elements from the list and drag-and-drop them to change the layout.

LOL! I know how to use it, but there is also an option to load an already created template within VC into the page! This is the part that isn’t working!

Sorry for the misunderstanding.
The plugin’s pre-build templates are available only for registered users.
Visual Composer, as all included plugins, have extended licenses. This means they can be used by any one purchasing our theme as long as they use the version included in theme folder. But some of the plugins default features are not available and you can not update it on your own terms with this type of licence.
The rules of the marketplace doesn’t allow us to give the plugin activation code. You can use the existing version without any problem.
We update frequently all theme plugins to their latest versions in every theme release or in case when an urgent update is needed. So they are always fully compatible with the current theme version.If you want to buy a license by yourself this is allowed, but we thought that this isn’t needed because the version included works perfectly.
