Commas not showing in figures in animated counter

  we have set up 4 x animated counters and we want the figures to show commas but I have added these in the admin but do not show up front end ie
  
  3085610 but this should show with commas ie
  
  3,085,610

  I think so! it seems to change all the time but client is ok!
