I have different categories for my blog posts such as: Blogbeitrag, Neuigkeiten, Testimonial etc… Now I would like to have a sidebar for all my blog posts with the categories “Blogbeitrag” as well as “Neuigkeiten”.
In order to archive that, I created a custom sidebar for the category “Blogbeitrag”.
However, the sidebar does not appear on the blog posts with that category.
I can only have a sidebar on ALL my posts or none.
Blog page uses by default the “Sidebar Blog” (screenshot). All custom sidebars can be used only for pages.
You can create as many custom sidebars you want and add them in pages using the “Widgetized Sidebar” element from Visual Composer.

May I suggest this as a feature update then… It would be a nice feature to be able to have custom sidebars also for blog pages. I’d be happy if that was possible in the future.
We will take this in consideration but its difficult to achieve. You can add custom sidebar for blog pages and different categories but we can’t add custom sidebar for posts.
A possibility is the edit the single.php and add conditional to show certain sidebar on certain categories
