It seems that being able to edit the main JS file is an important skill to have, since it enables you to slow down the ridiculously fast testimonial carousel speed, stop that inane Google map zooming, slow down the slides, etc. etc.
But — HOW DO YOU EDIT THAT FILE? All your instructions begin “find the file /main.js” but you never tell us where to look for that file. I’ve looked through all the templates and style sheets, I’ve tried searching the whole site — I do not know how to access that main.js file.
Please help ASAP! Our testimonials are zooming too fast to be read, and our map annoys everybody!

Hello,
By using a ftp connection or if you use cpanel to access theme files, please open the primary theme folder that you uploaded into your site(specular). Inside it you will find these folders: admin; css; fancybox; font; img; includes; js; lang; plugins;vc_templates; woocommerce (the rest are php single files).
Now open folder ‘js’, inside this folder it is the main.js file. Open it via a simple text editor like notepad or use ‘Sublime text’. Find the lines suggested for the testimonials/ slider or map zooming and edit them.
Save file after you are finished.Best regards!

Aha! That worked like a charm, thank you. This is the first time I’m doing the install and the initial build and I really appreciate the quick help.
