I’m trying to embed an external post from another blog into an article but nothing seems to work – plugin or coding in the text panel….
Could you please advise on how to do it so that at least part of the post with link shows on my article.

Sorry but that is not possible. You can install any custom plugin to have this effect.
I tried to install several plugins but didn’t work. Do you have a suggestion of one?
