Hello – something very strange has happened. I was working for a few hours trying new plugins for various reasons, and right as I was about to finish for the evening, the Woocommerce products on my home page disappeared. I am using the Visual Composer component for Woocommerce Products. When I open the element it shows that I have products selected. However, they do not appear. The heading within that row does appear, so it is clearly related to the products.
I have tried deactivating all plugins on my site, and that didn’t work. I tried deleting the row completing and starting over, and that didn’t work. I tried restoring my site to my previous backup (earlier in the evening) and *that* didn’t work.
I am unsure if this issue is related to the plugins I was activating/deactivating, but I suspect it is. However, I have no idea whether it is Tower theme related, or Woocommerce plugin related. Can you help?

UPDATE: I did a full restore of a backup from a week ago, to ensure that any issues with plugins were removed. The products appeared again on my home page, and I thought everything was fine.
However, when I tried to change the image associated with one of the products, the product disappeared again from the list of “Featured Products” on my home page. This list is created using Visual Composer, with the Woocommerce Product element. The product still shows within the element as being selected – but it does not appear on the home page with the other 3 featured products.
I tried to delete that product from within the element in order to see if a different product would appear, but it would not delete. I deleted it from the list, hit “save” and then updated the page. However, when I go back into the element, the product is still listed (though it is not showing.)
I then created an entirely new row, and added a new Woocommerce “Products” element, where I listed the four products I want showing. Again, the three products whose images I have not changed appear – but the one product (bath salts) whose image I changed, does not. I tried changing the bath salts image back to the original, and that didn’t work either.
I am at a loss – I would love for the “Featured Products” element to work, because it is one of the reasons I purchased the template. Can you help?

Hello,
This is not a Tower theme related issue. If it was, you would had this problem since the beginning.
Either you change something that caused this, or one of the plugins you were testing changed it. Even if you disabled them later, the change in the scripts was already done.I suggest you to delete the recent added plugins. Rollback to the version of site when this was not happening and try again.
If the issue persists, send us your login data. We can give it a look too.Best regards!

Mihala – I restored a backup from a week ago, before the plugins were installed, and the issue wasn’t resolved. None of the new plugins is installed at this point.
The issue seems to be directly related to changing the product image. Once I change an image, the product disappears from the element. So: only products with their “original” images appear. Any product with an image I’ve changed does not. In addition, once a product is added to the list within the element, I can’t delete it – even when it isn’t showing up on the page. I don’t know when the issue started, because I haven’t tried to change any of the images since I originally uploaded them, months ago.
Can you take a look? I’m more concerned that there is a script error within my site, than I am about getting the feature to work. I’d love it to work, but I can always remove it and do something else. However, the error would still be there, and it might cause other issues in the future.
I will send you my credentials in a private reply.
Thanks!
Rebecca

I changed the index page to “under construction” until we get this resolved, so the page I am referring to is: https://66.147.244.177/~lavendl6/home
Thank you!

UPDATE: I resolved one part of the issue. For some reason, the products whose images I had changed had reset to being “hidden” in the Woocommerce/Visibility options. I found the cause – it was a plugin I had purchased from Codeless, and I have removed the plugin and will work with the author to try and resolve the issue. In the meantime, the products are now all showing in the home page, and when I remove/add a product image, the product is no longer re-setting to “hidden.”
However: there is still a remaining issue. Once I have added a product to the list within the “Products” element (in Visual Composer), I cannot delete it. The only option is to delete the entire element and start over. I can certainly do this as a workaround, but again, it concerns me that something is amiss within the site. I used to be able to just delete a product and add a different one. I can make other changes withing the element (ie changing the number of columns) – it is only this specific portion of the element that does not work (deleting products once they’ve been added.)
If this is not something you cannot help with, please direct me to which forum I need to contact. I’m uncertain if this would be considered a Woocommerce or Visual Composer error. I have already tried asking in the Visual Composer forum, but they said it wasn’t their problem.

Hello,
I am glad you found the reason of the issue. What plugin was causing the issue? Codeless does not offer any plugin. We build up only themes.
I don’t understand what you mean about removing a product from “Products” element in Visual Composer. This element takes by default all available products. If you wish to display only some of them, then you enter the product name in the “Products” option of it.
I suggest you to contact WooCommerce plugin support forum. These are elements automatically added by the plugin.
Let us know.Best regards!

Mihaila –
1) I apologize, I meant it was a plugin from CodeCanyon (not Codeless.) It is a plugin that allows you to sell gift certificates/gift cards for your store. I have not yet heard back from the author.
2) The element that is still having issues with is: Within Visual Composer, click + to add an element, and select the “Products” option from Woocommerce. This element allows you to select products from your store to show within that row (you can change the number of columns, and select any products you want.) They show up as a list on the backend/within the element. You should be able to delete them from the list. The issue is that once I type in/selected a product within the element, I cannot then delete it. I delete, it disappears, I hit “save” and go back into the element, and the product is still there. Once I have selected products, if I change my mind and decide I want to display something else, I have to entirely delete the element and start over. Here is a screenshot of what I’m talking about – if I were to delete the bath salts from the list (by clicking on the x) and hit “save changes” then open it again, the bath salts would still be there.
If you are certain this is a Woocommerce issue (and not something related to Visual Composer or the theme) then I will pose this question in the Woocommerce forum and hope that someone responds.
Thank you!

Hello,
These elements (Products and Featured Products) are added to the VC panel after installing and activating Woocommerce plugin. They are not controlled by theme.
Please contact Woocommerce regarding these issues.Best regards!

Mihaila –
I paid someone to fix it, because I don’t have luck getting responses from the Woocommerce forum. Here is what they found, for anyone who is looking in the future:
‘This was caused by a Javascript error in one of the files: public_html/wp-content/plugins/js_composer/assets/js/dist/frontend-editor.min.js. It was using delete operation in one array that needed to be changed to a function.”
