Yes, the video can’t be added through the gallery widget but with the media widget. You can embed self-hosted, Youtube, and Vimeo videos but one at a time. We’re working on it and come with the video gallery feature in our upcoming theme updates.
For third-party plugins, you can use any of the WordPress plugins (free / premium) of your choice but we generally don’t recommend it.
Well, unfortunately, that’s a deal-breaker for me. I have to have video support in the gallery, as that is half of what I do as a designer. I don’t remember seeing anything on ThemeForest about the gallery not supporting video. I don’t know of any decent galleries that don’t.
And if I cannot use a third-party plugin, I’m stuck with a product that is useless to me. I might suggest you put those very important points on your marketing page for this product to avoid situations like this in the future.
