Hi we are running a Folie template on our website summerana.com.
Currently we cannot edit the homepage of her site as it seems the editor for folie does not load properly. When I load the folie editor it only lets you edit the typical wordpress menus and footers but not the page itself.
I also noticed that clicking “CUSTOMIZE PAGE & OPTIONS” it will have an infinite loading screen. We have tried reverting to previous versions of the page already and has not solved the problem.
I’m looking for a way to restore functionality to the codeless portion of the website, can you please help?

Hello,
Did you installed the latest version of theme?
If yes, please send me credentials to check
Thanks

Hi thank you for replying promptly, no it looks like we are running an older version of Folie from what it shows on your website. We have Folie 1.2.1 with WordPress 5.2.2 when your listing shows Folie 2.5.7. If we absolutely need to update the theme before you are able to help, how can we go about it?

Just Install the Envato Market plugin and update directly from dashboard. This is the easiest and fastest way
Thank You

The Codeless builder version we have is 1.2.1 which according to wordpress and the plugin itself is the latest one. I cannot find any documentation elsewhere regarding what the latest version is. We don’t have WPBakery for this website, is it necessary?
We have elementor as a supplemental page builder instead and that is up to date.
On another note I managed to find this warning highlighted when looking in system status for the codeless plugin:
PHP Time Limit:[?] 30 – We recommend setting max execution time to at least 180. To import classic demo content, 300 See: Increasing max execution to PHP
I figure this may be causing issues with infinite loading on the builder but correct me if I’m wrong. However that doesn’t change the fact the “simple editor” option for codeless (which does in fact load), doesn’t allow any editing on the page anyway. Is there perhaps something else I should be looking at that might be causing problems?- This reply was modified 5 years, 3 months ago by P2Psupport.

Hello,
I see you still have the old theme version installed (screenshot). Please update theme first and then all it’s included plugins. Check this article for more instructions:
https://support.codeless.co/?ht_kb=update-plugins-using-only-the-included-in-theme-versionWe can help you update them as promised, but first you have to update theme.
Let us know.
Best regards! -
Hello I apologize for the late follow up, we were running an even and didn’t want any downtime on the website during this event.
I managed to get what seems like everything updates including some “required” plugins that the builder mentioned to install after updating. These “required” plugins seemed to have fixed the visual error where the pages turn out as jumbles of code after updating the theme. One of these required plugins, seems to have installed wpbakery builder as well which I see requires a separate means of updating.
As of right now the site is running the latest version of of the theme and is stable it seems but I still see that the elements on the homepage (other than blogs and menus) are still uneditable. Please let me know if there is there is anything else I would need to change before we can troubleshoot why we’re unable to edit the elements on the homepage.
Thank you.

Hello,
1-WP Bakery builder requires a separate means of updating:
WP Bakery is a third party, premium plugin included in the theme package and fully compatible with theme elements. We have purchased an extended license for it. This type of license allows us to include it in the theme package and all customers to be able to use the plugin without needing to buy it first. But it has its limitations, such as you can not update the plugin in your own terms, but only when we include an updated version of it.
Read more here: https://support.codeless.co/?ht_kb=plugins-license-activation-is-required-to-receive-updates2-Page elements uneditable:
Please make sure you are accessing them correctly first. To edit page’s elements, open Page from Pages menu, then go to Codeless Builder button to open the customizer. See screenshot: https://ibb.co/nBb2TTdIf you open the customizer directly from Appearance > Customize, you can only edit theme settings and options, but not page elements.
