I am running into problems using single icons – only from Font Awesome. No matter what color I select the icon does not appear on the page, but if I select an icon from another family – Typicons as an example – it works fine. I also downloaded a plugin that utilizes Font Awesome icons and they don’t display there either. Any help would be much appreciated. The schools and hoa pages are where I was running into trouble and you can also see the missing icon on the scroll to top box that appears on smaller browser sizes.
On any of the interior pages when I use the single icon from the Visual Composer, I cannot get Font Awesome icons to display. If you look on the HOA page or the Schools page you’ll see icons because I had to use the other libraries. Really on any page they don’t display, but when I use the Social block and the icon is part of the element they show up there. It’s really strange.

I see you have removed the ‘Back to Top’ button. It shouldn’t create any blank space. If you set it to display again, i can check it up.
Font Awesome has conflicts with the newest Visual Composer. Please use one of the other libraries available for the icons.
I am also having issues with Font Awesome icons missing. If you look in the Font Awesome library on the Github cheatsheet page you can see a folded map icon “fa-map-o”. However, in the accordion feature within Visual Composer when I go to add that icon it does not show up. I tried searching for “map”, as well as looking through the available icons several times. The interesting part is that if I inspect the page within my Chrome browser and change the class on that icon to fa-map-o it shows up…so it is in the library. It just won’t show up in Visual Composer. I’m not sure how to get this to work. Also, FontAwesome has added some new icons to their library. Is there a way for me to update this so I can use them through Visual Composer?
The theme does have the latest FontAwesome library, also the old classes of the icons still work.
Just search the icon you want at icon search at the elements of visual composer. It will show up on site, even it don’t display on backed (we will fix it in the next theme update). Are you looking for a specific icon and you can’t find it?

In the Accordion feature, when I go to attach the icon to the tab through Visual Composer I use the search feature and search for “map” but the map just doesn’t show up. I’ve scrolled through all the FontAwesome icons shown, but it isn’t in there. The one I’m looking for is <span style=”color: #393d40; font-family: ‘Open Sans’, ‘Helvetica Neue’, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 22px;”>“fa-map-o”.</span>
You have an old version of the theme and Visual Composer. In the latest release the accordion element does not have icons.
Look for that icon in other elements that support icons.
