Good morning, I am wondering if anyone else has experienced issues with using google fonts on codeless slider in the tower theme. The only fonts that work are the standard webfonts. I am building the website offline, but if you need me to post something online to show you, let me know.
The theme is lovely, I am getting stuck on this one issue, please help.
Thank you, Heidi

Hello,
Sorry for the late reply.
Can you please let us know what font are you trying to use? So we can help you with that.Best regards!

Hi Mihaila, sorry I didn’t see your response until now. If I try to use ANY of the google fonts in the codeless slider, they do not work. The text defaults to the text set in the tower theme.

Thoughts? I am surprised no one else has commented on this issue.

Hello,
Tower theme does not have any issue with Google fonts. Please update theme to it’s latest version (i see you have vs 1.2.7, while the latest is vs 1.3.2) As it has many important changes. Also update Visual Composer too (read on how to update plugin here). If the issue persists, please send us your wp credentials in a private reply. So we can give it a closer look.
Best regards!

I am having the same problem! When I try to use a different Google font in the content selection in the codeless slider, it defaults to the base theme font when viewing the page. I am on the latest version of Tower theme, so I know that is not the fix.

Hi Mihaila,
I sent you the credentials in a private reply. In the meantime, I was wondering if the cause of the Google font problem is because I don’t have the latest version of WPBakery Visual Composer. Does that affect the codeless slider? I am currently running version 4.8.1 of the plugin, but the latest version is 4.9. If that is the problem, then I’m not sure what to do as the update requires purchasing the plugin (no autoupdate available) and it costs an additional $34. Please advise.
Thanks!
Mark

Hello,
The Visual Composer plugin is not responsible for the google fonts. The version you have is totally ok with the theme.
I was able to change the fond in home slider 1, of title “Simple & Intuitive Solution” in slide 1, from Montserrat to Aladin. See page About Us.
Please try again.Best regards!

Hi Mihaila,
Thank you for looking into my problem. I cloned the slide that you changed in the “about us” page and inserted into my homepage slider and didn’t notice the change. However, after further investigation, I found out that the Google font problem is when viewing in Firefox. It also doesn’t work on mobile (Android 4.4.2). On Safari and Chrome it works fine (at least on OS X 10.10.3 and iOS 7).
Please advise on how to proceed.
Thanks! Mark
