Hi,
I’m busy customising the Handel corporate theme I bought a few weeks ago & after re-uploading the theme along with the child theme – which I’d not done initially – the layout of the home page on both the main & child themes is off, compared to the home page of the main theme before I’d re-uploaded it.
Firstly, the sidebar widget showing menu, posts & docs, that appears on several of the pages is now showing on the home page. The slider is covering the menu and half of the docs but the posts are visible below the slider & this is distorting the rest of the page content below this. I’ve tried but I can’t see how to remove it from the home page without also removing it from the other pages too?
Secondly, the position of the slider on the home page is now too high, in that it starts just below the top dark bar, and the slider photographs and text all display behind the logo and the main menu bar. When in ‘Customise’ view the slider seems to display in the correct position but on switching back to ‘site view’ the problem is still there.
I can’t see where to alter this, although in the “customise header layout” menu, if I toggle the ‘Boxed (Outter) Header’ control to on, the position of the slider shifts upwards and sits behind the menu, approximating what I’m seeing in ‘site view’, however I’ve saved the changes with this control toggles in both positions but this has no affect on how the home page displays in ‘site view’?
Any help would be great?
Brgds

Hello,
The description you have made make me think that there something wrong with the installation or with the version of the theme you are installing.
So first i recommend you to delete the theme and the db and install it again without using the child theme. You can activate the child theme after the whole installation is finished.
If the problem persist please contact us again and share your online link with creds so i can check the issue closer.
Let me know.
Regards!

Hello,
Please add some wp and ftp credentials in a private reply. So we can give this a closer look.
Best regards!

Hello,
The credentials we need are: wordpress login username/password. You have send these but we need the link of the site as well.
As for the ftp, ask your host provider to create a ftp account. The credentials will include a ftp link/ ftp username/password. The database name is not necessary.
Best regards!

Hello,
1 – The ‘Open Positions’ table missing: the table element needs to be created first. Then you select it to show in the page. Go to “TablePress” plugin options. Create new table. Then in the “Careers” page’s customizer, select the new table from the tablepress element.
2-The same logic here as in point 1. The “Cost Calculator” is a Contact Form 7 element. Go to the Contact Form 7 menu, create it and them select it in the page.
3-This:
[cl_woocommerce columns="4" filters="fullwidth" product_title="h4"]
is woocomemrce shortcode for the shop page. You need the install Woocommerce plugin first. Activate it, then you will see the shop page take form.
See related: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-shortcodes/
Let us know if you have further questions.Best regards!

Thanks for the clarification Mihaila,
One follow-up issue about the installation problem you’ve assisted with; I want to install & modify a child theme, rather than the main theme & I’ve tried installing this using same set of zip files as the main theme & I’ve encountered the same problem – the install hang-up while installing the dummy content.
Are the zip file I downloaded from the link corrupted? If so can I download another set of zip files?
FYI, before contacting you about this problem with the main theme, I’d already tried deleting the first zip file & re-downloading files from the original link, but the installation hung up at the dummy content?
Thanks & best regards,
Jack

Hello,
Sorry but i am not sure i understand what you want to do here. You have already installed theme and another support member already imported the dummy data for you. That’s all you need. You do not have to import dummy data again! That’s a one time action.
If you want to use a child theme, great. Just unzip the file you downloaded from Envato. You will see the child-theme there. Upload it into your wp-content/themes folder via ftp. Or zip only the child theme folder and upload it in Appearance > Themes. Install it like any other theme. Lastly, activate child theme and that’s it.
Keep in mind that parent theme MUST be installed as well. Even if you have child theme active.
