Please download the latest theme update. Make sure to update the Visual Composer with the included version. The issue is due to incompatibility of older VC plugin with the newest WordPress version.

You had not updated Visual Composer. The version 4.10 had incompatibility issues with the latest WordPress. I updated it and now the backend shows all VC elements.
Please continue with further customization.
