Hello,
How can I control the size of the header on portfolio items? it is too long (the hight) in an anaesthetic way
Thx for your help
Max -
Hello,
Please go to the portfolio item General Options > Page Header Options > Page Header Height. Set up the height you want for it, here. (screenshot)
Best regards!

Hello,
Sorry for the inconvenience.
The blog posts and portfolio entries page header is set from main options. Please go to Header Options > Default Page Header.Best regards!

Hello,
if I do that, it means that the header size will change for every page. Right now header is larger only on portfolio items page.
My guess is that it is because of the space that categories are meant to appear on (like in the porfolio page)

Hello,
There is also something that changed (probably you modified something on my site). Now the portfolio page has a header with title and breadcrumbs.
I do not wish to have those on porfolio or portfolio items.

Hello,
What i said in previous reply, means that you will have the same header (centered or simple with breadcrumbs) in all posts, portfolio entries and the portfolio page. The distance between portfolio items in portfolio page has nothing to do with the header used.
I removed the page header in portfolio items, by disabling it in page’s options.Best regards!

Mihaila,
I am talking about header’s height. It is bigger on portfolio items pages.
Please reread my first question.Regards,

We are turning in cercles because you do not take the time to read my questions seriously.
The header needs to stay because of a previous issue we talked about linked to the logo color. So, the header has to stay. But I do not want it to be uselessly big in portfolio items pages. Please compare the height of the header on normal pages and on portfolio items pages to see what I am talking about.

Max

Hello,
My apologies if i didn’t express myself very clear. I do read what you wrote. In my response i told you that the portfolio items page header takes the settings set in the main default Page Header (General Options > Header Options > Default Page Header) Meaning that here is where you set up the height too.(see “Page Header Height”)
I see you have set it 0px, and if you check it up with inspect elements it is indeed 0px height. The space you want to reduce is not connected to page header. It is part of the content div. To reduce that add this code into your custom css box:.single-portfolio #content { margin-top: -65px !important; }
This is the result.
Best regards!

thx
How do you reduce space on the body of the page?
The white space before the images of the portfolio item are shownRegards,
Max -
Hello,
Please add this code:
.codeless_separator span.separator { height: 10px !important; }
Best regards!
-
thx a lot. does it influence only portfolio items pages? I do not wish to change the space on other types of pages?
Regards,
Max -
Hello,
I can see the white space only in the home page, between “Portfolio” title and slider. If you want this to affect only this page, then add the code to the page’s custom css box (screenshot).
Best regards!

Having just read this and many other queries on the same subject, in the hopes of finding an answer, I find myself really annoyed at the continually disingenuous responses. The bottom line is that it is not possible to utilise any of the header settings when you are creating portfolio items and despite the many requests for help with this, the answers are always designed to not expose this failing. However, as it is a failing of the theme, eventually it has to be admitted. Why not just be straight.
example of straightforward response
Sorry, if you want the portfolio header to be a certain size the only way to achieve this is to create a header size in settings, however this will universally affect all your headers. Nothing has been done about this problem. We will let you know when it has!

Hello,
I am sorry that you see it this way. The portfolio is designed to be this way. Some customers are ok with it and some need to customize it further. This is mostly a personal choice. We can not satisfy all wishes, so we are doing our best to assist you while you edit the theme to your needs and pleasure.
But you have to know that the theme you bought comes in a certain design. This request is not present for now.
If you think it should be added to the main design then please suggest it in this other forum: https://support.codeless.co/?forum=suggest-us-features
Our developers will check it and see what they can do regarding it in future updates.Best regards!
