The slider’s version has no relation on the way you have set up your links. The https or http protocol is defined in the server’s settings. While the images used from theme and the slider (every slider) are stored in wp-content/uploads folder in the server.
If you have changed the site’s link structure to https, then you need to update all links in the database for them to work ok. Or create a redirect rule in your .htaccess file.
Please contact your host provider to guide you with this, as it is not theme related.

There is no problem if the image does not show up in the option panel. Do you get to see the image in the page online? Can you send us the link of the page where you added this image?
