I have just updated the portfolio section of this website: https://misbegotten.us/artwork/
I added artwork for Issue 4, after successfully adding Issues 1-3 several months ago. For some reason the last two portfolio items are not showing up.
It shows a link for Issue 4, but nothing shows up when I click on it. And it I instead go to View All (the default), it shows I have a second page. When I click on page 2, I get a 404.
What is going on? I cloned the pages for issues 3 to do issues 4, so the info should be the same.
Thank you!
Susan

Hello,
The portfolio style with three columns, has a total of 9 items to show up in one page. The rest will be shown in second page. If you use the filter bar, the category selected will show up ONLY the items of that category in that page. Not all of them, including the second page. If you want all search items to show up immediately, then use another pagination method.
Reset permalinks to fix the 404 page. Let us know.
Best regards!

Hi Mihaila,
My understanding is that Issue 4, and only Issue 4, will be on page 2. But nothing comes up when I click on the link to Issue 4 and of course, there’s the 404 issue when I hit page 2.
The images do show up individually:
In the link below, you’ll see two screenshots of my portfolio page setting and what I see in Settings > Permalinks. I don’t see an option to reset them.

Hello,
As explained in my last reply, if the Issue 4 items are located in page 2 of portfolio, then it’s not possible for them to show up when you are in page 1. Only the items already present in page 1 will be filtered.
To reset permalinks, in Settings > Permalinks, set the permalinks style to Plain. Save changes. Then change it back to Post Name.
Clear cache and refresh portfolio page.
Best regards!

Thank you for showing me how to reset the Permalinks. I did that, cleared cache, refreshed and nothing has changed.

Hello,
Please go to your server’s root folder. Find and delete .htaccess file. Reset permalinks again after it.
If the situation persists after it, send us your WordPress and ftp access login data. So we can check it closely.Best regards!

Hello,
Can you please check the password of the ftp? I am not able to connect to the server.
Let me know.Best regards!

Hello,
I was able to login.
I renamed the previous .htaccess file and reset permalinks once again. The new .htaccess file is created. However, the second page is still not found. This is usually not a common situation, but there is the possibility that your server needs to synchronize with the .htaccess file before. Please see this article on how to do the process: https://solutions.hostmysite.com/index.php?/Knowledgebase/Article/View/8354/280/how-to-sync-an-htaccess-file-to-the-web-server
Or ask your hosting provider to do it for you.
Let us know if the situation persists after it.Best regards!

I’m still having the issue. The .htaccess file sync was instantaneous according to my host, Siteground. I don’t know what else to do. This project was due yesterday and it is still not working.

Hello,
That’s very strange. We tested this situation on our side but there is no issue in navigation to second page with the custom Post Name permalinks. See screenshot of it: https://postimg.org/image/xotr3chid/
For the time being, i can suggest you use another pagination style.
I see you have an old theme version. The latest one is vs 2.2. Please update theme and let us know how it goes.Best regards!
-
I have updated the theme. I’ve done everything you have asked, still not seeing page 2.
Unless you have one last solution, I’m going to have to manually add these images without using the portfolio.
As far as pagination styles, where would I change that? All I see on my portfolio page is with or without pagination. When I tried to read the documentation for the 4-column layout (which is what I use), I got a 404 error
In fact, all your documentation for portfolio seems to have broken links.

Hello,
You can change the pagination method in portfolio page’s Portfolio Options > Select the pagination method. I selected the “no pagination” method. Then i edited out the number of portfolio items to display in order for them to be displayed all. The change made is described in this Knowledge base topic: https://support.codeless.co/?ht_kb=display-all-portfolio-items-in-one-page
-Thank you for noticing the links in the doc, we already fixed them. You can check out an example of second page here: https://codeless.co/tower/default/works/overlay-style/2-columns/page/2/
Best regards!
