Dashboard> Appearance> Themes
On the active theme (Specular), Update Now
After doing that the site breaks down. See attached photo in the first message.

Well that image shows 404 error. Did your updated theme and it finished properly or you got any error ? If it updated properly have you tried by flushing your permalinks ?

We followed these instructions, are they correct?
How to Refresh / Flush WordPress Permalinks?
Step 1: In the WordPress admin area, go to โSettings > Permalinksโ
Step 2: Click โSave Changesโ
Step 3: Permalinks and rewrite rules are flushed.After doing that we updated the theme again and it still breaks (as in the image).
The pages were built with the WPBakery Page Builder plugin. With the new version of the theme we do not seem to interpret the code correctly.

In latest version you can install wp bakery backwards compatibility plugin as well to make it work properly.

How do i install it?
If I try to update the WPBakery Page Builder plugin it tells me I’m unlicensed and if I update the theme the site explodes.
Do I update the theme and then with the new version of WPBakery Page Builder also look for this functionality in its settings?

Theme updated.
The indicated plug-in has been loaded and activated.Now everything is back as before.

I had opened tickets when the problem arose for the first time.
Today we noticed the same problem but the usual procedures didn’t work. Fortunately I found the .zip that was provided to us and only by reloading it all went well.Why does all this happen?
We cannot check the correct status of the site on a daily basis. -

We continue to have problems with the template.
Now the problem is only in the Home Page for both supported languages (Italian and English).
We always keep the plug-ins up to date apart from WPBakery Page Builder that we always have to wait for the Template update.How can we solve this?

Nothing, every now and then the page no longer goes and to date it has always been enough to update the plug-ins.

Did you’ve any recent working backup of your site? If yes, restore your site to that previous version.P.S: We always recommend keeping a backup of your site before updating theme/core plugins. Moreover, third-party plugins not always be a good choice. Review the comments and compatibility of the plugin to your WordPress version before installing it.

Hello, the same problem was encountered again. The home of natisoft.it is broken again. You give us zip files to download and install but with each new version of SPECULAR the problem comes back.

I’ve gone through all pages of your site(linked in the menu) and was unable to find any of the broken code errors. Currently, your homepage displaying pretty fine on my end.Please make sure that your site’s server PHP version should be 7. x. Also, you can try deactivating all the third-party plugins and activating them one by one if the issue still persists.
You can also use one of these methods on your end to find the root cause.

The issue is very annoying for us too. It’s important for us to know why this issue occurs? It means, what significant changes on your site lead to this issue.Not always you’ve to download and install it again and again. Save a copy of the plugins and install them when you need to activate them.

The correct page is the Home Page.
It works for us too today and we haven’t done anything, no updates or anything else. I rewrote just because my colleague had noticed the problem again but there were no plug-ins to update. It almost looks like something related to the cache at this point.Thanks

Each time my team has to install those two plug-ins. -

It seems that it’s about the “Polylang” plugin that’s affecting the URL of the homepage. De-activate the plugin (for testing purposes) and check whether the issue has been resolved. On my end, as mentioned before everything is working fine.We’ll soon update the WP-Bakery plugin on our Codeless repository. Currently, we’re testing the new version, once the testing is complete the plugin will be updated.
