Limit products on shop page or display categories only

  Hi,
  
  It seems there is a major issue with the theme for eCommerce
  I can’t limit the number of products displayed, meaning all 4,000 display on the first page of the shop.
  
  This also means the performance is unacceptable, as the DOM size is over 20k elements.
  
  Please can this option be added?
  When I go to customizer and try to display only Categories as a workaround, nothing happens it still displays every product.
  
  I have tried previously, editing functions.php as mentioned in WooCommerce documentation which also did not fix this.

  2 other things in case you can help –
  
  The shop page is not displaying columns correctly in responsive sizes..
  
  And we tried to create a child theme but it gives errors sometimes when used. We also haven’t been able to migrate all our settings across to the child theme, is there an easy way?

  No, I reverted my changes to the theme files. I’m not aware of any other changes, except there may have been some changes made previously by support.

  I got the problem but it was wasted my almost 2 hours to finding the bug in the code. Anyway!
  
  Your Mistake: You have added Shop Short-Code using Wp Bakery on Shop Page (wp-admin > page > Shop ) and product was also coming from product tab.
  
  Just Remember: Shop page autometically Pulls all the products from which you add from product tab.
  (wp-admin > products ).
  
  Expert Tip: Please use Youtube to learn some basic operating knowledge about woocommerce.
