      Hello,

I’m looking for a means to replace certain strings within the theme that are pertinent to WooCommerce.

The business in question is UK based, and I’d merely like to change the strings for “cart” to “basket”.

I’ve had limited success using this (very helpful and interesting) guide, which involved appending to the functions.php of the Specular child theme. This managed to change most strings, save for the nav bar checkout element, pictured below:

      Cart element

Can somebody please provide some guidance as to how I can affect changes to this element? I’m sorry to have to ask, but I have very limited knowledge of php :/

      Thank you in advance,

      Vik

      Hello,

You can find them in these strings in files:
      -specular\functions-woocommerce.php
      -specular\includes\view\woocommerce-cart.php
use a ftp account to access them. If you don’t have any, ask your host provider to help you get one.
      Let us know.

      Best regards!

Thank you so much, that worked a treat!

Sorry to pile issues on, but after affecting changes in both files, I thought I’d do the same to switch the moon-cart icon to moon-basket.

It appears to take effect on initial page load but reverts to the cart symbol very shortly after. Is something overriding this particular change?

      Many thanks in advance!

e: Please disregard. Clearing cache didn’t do the trick, but viewing in a different session, like private browsing worked fine. I think I just needed to clear local storage.
