I have three things I need help with for regular (non-responsive) layouts:
1) In the top navigation bar, when the cursor is moved over different menu items on the right, the logo shifts slightly – it appears to be slightly expanding and contracting.
2) After the recent update to Tower 1.8.1, the product column spacing is off. My columns are set to 4, and the two products in the center of the row are touching (they no longer have a margin in between them.)
3) In Safari and Chrome, the “Call to Action” bar sometimes appears over the top of the “Products” row. It is not consistent – sometimes it happens, sometimes it does not. It has also happened occasionally on tablets.
Thanks!
Rebecca

Hello,
1-This is not an effect present in the theme so it must be caused by something external. I don’t see any error related to this so i need some more information. When did this started to happen? Did you made any changes to the header? Did you installed any new plugin recently?
2-Please go to file css/woocommerce.css. Find and remove these lines:
.woocommerce ul.products li.last, .woocommerce-page ul.products li.last { margin-right: 0; }
Or just comment out the
/* margin-right: 0; */
and save file.3-Can i please see a link of this? I can’t find the product page.
Best regards!

1) This has been happening for a while – it’s been on my list to ask for help with but it isn’t a huge problem, so I waited until I had time to deal with it. We have made some minor modifications to the navigation bar over the months (you have helped) though nothing major. We made the header not transparent, and you added some code to make the header sticky on mobile. I don’t believe it is plugin related. I just deactivated all of my plugins and tested it, and it still occurred.
2) Can you please tell me where to find the woocommerce.css file? I apologize, but I can’t locate it.
3) I apologize for not being more clear. This is on the home page (https://www.lavenderconnection.com), under the slider. I have a visual composer element “woocommerce products”, and under that a visual composer element “call to action”. Sometimes, using IE and Chrome (though I’ve never seen it with Firefox) the “call to action” element appears over the top of the “products” element.

Ruco – that link you have provided relates to other questions/issues I am having, not the ones outlined in my original question above. Can you (or someone) help with the specific questions outlined on this post? Thanks!

Hello,
Sorry, I have confused the topics.
The issue with the logo that seem to move on menu item hover is caused by this css you have added:
nav .menu li a:hover { font-weight: 500; }
If you remove the code it will be fixed.
The woocommerce file is located here ‘tower/css/woocommerce.css’.
You can add the code directly at custom css box:
.woocommerce ul.products li.last, .woocommerce-page ul.products li.last {
margin-right: 10px;
}We will launch very soon a theme update and include of the latest version of the woocommerce files, which will fix the issue.
I don’t see the calll to action element on top of products element. can you show us a screenshot?
Best regards!

Ruco – no problem, that is just fine. Thank you for your prompt response and all of your help so far.
1. That fixed it – thank you!
2. Perfect – thank you!
3. It only happens occasionally, and I didn’t think to get a screenshot last time. When it happens again, I will get a screenshot and post it. Perhaps when the new template update comes out with the new Woocommerce files (and hopefully the Visual Composer fix as well) then it will be resolved.
Thanks!

3. This happened again today, using Firefox. Here is a screenshot: https://www.lavenderconnection.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/screenshotVCerror.png
It seems to correct itself when the screen is refreshed.

Hello,
This is strange. I don’t see any issue with the Call To Action element covering the products row, even after multiple scrolling and refreshing. What version of Firefox do you have?
If the issue still persist send us your ftp credentials to give a closer look.Best regards!

Kris –
That screenshot was taken with Firefox 47.0 – though it has happened with other browsers and on mobile/tablets as well. It seems to be random and only happens occasionally. If you would like to take a closer look, I’m happy to send my credentials.

Hello,
We are using Firefox 47.0.1 and this issue doesn’t happen.
Please update firefox to its latest versioon (48.0) and let us know if the problem still persist.Best regards!

Kris –
I have updated to Firefox 48.0.2, and it still happens occasionally. As I’ve stated before, it also happens in Chrome. I do not have IE, so I’m unsure if it occurs there.
Mihaila unintentionally created a screenshot of it, when she captured a shot of our site for another post she was helping me with. You can see her screenshot here: https://www.clipular.com/c/5312567194419200.png?k=TfDOJVX34kFp-K1jS1mlKQiebxA
I’m unsure what browser Mihaila was using.
Thanks!

Hello,
I don’t see the call-to-action element anymore. Can you please recreate for us the situation of home page with the call-to-action element in the test page you have.
You can fill in the login information on your extra information fields in your profile data.
Read this article for more details.Best regards!
-
Hello – I removed the element because we didn’t need a call to action for the next few months. However, I’ve created another one for you so you can take a look. I don’t know if it will have the same issues. The one I was using before was the element that came with the original theme template. I do also have a backup of my website from before I removed it, and I can send you those files, if that’s helpful.
I have added my credentials for you.
-
Mihaila –
The element is located on the home/index page of the site – not within the shop, as the test page you created indicates. Please see this screenshot: https://www.lavenderconnection.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/screenshot102616.png
I previously said “I don’t know if the element will have the same issues” because I removed the faulty “call to action” element a few weeks ago – we didn’t need it, it was malfunctioning, and you guys couldn’t figure out what was going on. I added back the same type of element (call to action) to the home page, using visual composer, so that you could look into it again.
Because the original one that was malfunctioning was deleted, I wasn’t sure if the new “call to action” element would have the same issues as the last one. It appears that it does have the same issues – please see the above screenshot that I took today, using Chrome.

Hello,
Sorry for the late reply. I checked your site but the issue did not happen. Please see screenshot.
Did you manage to fix it? Let us know.Best regards!
-
Mihaila – I didn’t fix the issue. It doesn’t happen every time I open the site (perhaps 25% of the time.) When I refresh, it always disappears. I’m concerned a customer won’t refresh. Is there a way to check the code based on all the screenshots I’ve provided, to see if you can see something in there that would be causing it?
