Howdy,
I have a problem I hope you can help me with. With a recent update to Tower I can no longer see the contents of the Media Library (wp-admin/upload.php?mode=grid)
I have the latest version of WordPress, Tower, and Visual Composer. (4.7, 1.8.2, 5.0.1)
What I’ve done thus far, to no avail.
- All plugins disabled (except Visual Composer)
- Using Tower child theme, switching to parent theme, then back
- Activated TwentySixteen theme, then back to Tower child theme
- Set define(‘WP_DEBUG’, true); to look for errors, none found
Can not see Media Library in grid mode. See: https://imgur.com/tLWEWSu
Can not see Media Library contents in Visual Composer (say when adding a single image element). It’s a blank with a spinner. See: https://imgur.com/i33kymB
I can see Media Library in list mode. Odd, no?
Files do upload, but hangs at “Crunching…”. Refreshing the Media Library and they appear. I can delete them without issue.
Development site (clone of prod site) is at dev.amitechsolutions.com
Feedback or pointers as to what to investigate next is greatly appreciated.

Hello,
The Media Library is a WordPress feature. It’s not controlled from theme. I suggest you update wordpress files and optimize database. You may have some corrupted files causing this.
Let us know how it will go.best regards!

Howdy,
WordPress is at it’s most recent update. Reinstalling did not fix.
I should have clarified a step I took. Switching themes fixes the problem. I switched to the TwentySixteen theme and am able to see the Media Library – both within Visual Composer (part of the Tower theme) and within WordPress itself (at wp-admin/upload.php).
Is there any particular config I can make to present error codes from Tower? A log I can check?

I resolved this by removing a <? phperror_reporting(E_ERROR);?> I added during testing.
