Hi. I am writing to ask you what could cause a serious problem that had never occurred: in the back-end it shows the right contents, in the front-end they are not seen: at the beginning of the index page (the initial video is missing and the post on its left and has an inscription; in the back-end there are the 2 elements and there is no writing and this is correct)
and the News page (blank in the front-end, right in the back-end):
I also tried to update the theme, but a critical error appears and I restored the last backeup and the above problems remain:
1. The first 2 posts (present in the visual editor) are missing from the home page.
2. The NEWS page is empty (perfect in the visual editor).
3. By updating the theme, the site comes up with a wordpress page that signals a critical error and I can’t even log in to the wordpress administration (I can’t log in anymore).
4. … and what is the optimal configuration for System Status? Php ver, memory, etc. What could it depend on? Sorry but I’m worried, I have to fix issues ASAP. I have 3 sites that use the Tower theme. Thank you for your time and your support. Kind regards. Bruno

Hi,
Please create a fresh backup of your site, theme, plugins, etc and then update the Tower theme and all required plugins to their latest versions. After that check and let me know.Backup is a safety measure while updating theme/plugins.
Thanks,

Hi Azaman. I already did the same yesterday and as already written, updating the theme, I no longer had access to the site: the page remained on a wordpress page with written (the example is the last image, the one with the message):
A critical error has occurred on your website
I have also opened the accesses to wp and ftp.
I rewrite: yesterday, they update the theme, everything crashes and I had to restore the server administrator, I couldn’t even access the wp login. So if I update the theme, I will be stuck again and the customer angry again :( let me know how to proceed, thanks

Thanks Azam, great job !!!
1. To prevent the same situation from happening again, what did it depend on? How can you prevent it from happening again? This is not the first time that you have had problems updating your plugin and theme.
2. Loading times remain slow, both for the first 2 posts in the index and for the posts in the News page: what could this depend on? Could there be a solution to load faster?
Thanks for your support and your patience :))

Hi,
1- To prevent the same situation, keep the theme/theme required plugins up-to-date and also prevent yourself from too-much third-party plugins because it may lead your site to an anonymous situation.
P.S: Always keep a backup of your site first before updating theme/theme required plugins.2- Page loading speed pretty much depends on the server and content you’re displaying on your site. Too heavy content i.e. images, videos, etc. slow down the site. Things you can do are extend(maximize) your web service hosting plan OR compress your images and videos before uploading it and install a cache plugin i.e. WP-Rocket etc.
It also depends on the content you’re not hosting but displaying it from third-party sites i.e. Youtube, Vimeo, etc. Thanks,

Dear Azam, I tend to always follow the updates, the plugins and the theme and the last times I updated Tower, there have always been some critical issues. For example, some plugins you indicated were not present. I take care of the backend management, but the site is administered by others and therefore, they decide the plugins. Apart from this, I will list the critical issues still in progress and that I have to solve asap and ask for your support:
1. The original footer has been replaced, after the update, by the default footer, wrong. This is the original footer (before theme update)
while online it has nothing to do with it, it’s wrong.
How can I restore it? Do I have to do it again? Or this too is a solvable criticality together with two other problems, the following:2. In HP, the CENTOPAGES section, there are five books
clicking on the first four, it does not find the pages, “page not found error 404”, the only working link is the fifth (the last book). Yet the books in the portfolio are there. What happen?3. Also on the page
https://www.palestradellascrittura.it/centopagine-i-libri-della-palestra/the links to the books do not work, it refers to page 404 not found, although there are categories and books… they were created after the last update of the theme, without our intervention.
The situation is critical, I have to resolve asap. I have to understand, to know, if the critical issues have arisen for the plugin update or if one of the content update staff gets some method wrong, I have to avoid these errors from happening again.
Thanks for your invaluable support. While waiting for your reply, my best regards. Bruno -

Hi,
— Update theme/plugin
Please create a fresh backup before updating theme or plugin. And try to read the changelog of the theme before updating. Sometimes we release a major update that new features are added or some bugs are removed in that update. So reading changelog will help you to check whether the update is major or not.— Kirki Plugin:
Sorry for the inconvenience, I mistakenly spell wrong the plugin kiriki (Kirki). Thanks,
