On my site home page, the hamburger menu on smartphones only works if you reload the page. Then it works on every other page. Upon initial load, the menu doesn’t work. This happens on both Android and iPhone. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Hello,
Please try deactivating all third party plugins first. Clear cache and refresh page. Let us know if the situation persists.
Best regards!

Hi Mirela,
I am a bit confused by your advice. Unfortunately, I need the other plugins running for other important site functions (forms, etc.). Am I able to reactivate them after I do this?
Also, do you mean clearing the cache on my browser? This issue is occurring for many mobile users, not just myself, and I can’t really ask all site visitors to go through those steps. I may not understand what cache you are referring to.
Thanks for any clarification.
Chris

Hello,
These are all temporary actions. Some plugin may be conflicting with theme code, or even with another plugin’s code. We do this to narrow down the possible reasons for the problem.
Deactivate all third plugins, check if the issue is gone. If it is, this means one of the plugins is the culprit. To identify it, start activating them one a t a time. Check site every time. Until the issue reappears and you will know which one caused it.Clear cache of you browser after each activation. To clear cache of chrome, press F12 from your keyboard. This will open Inspect Element. Now go to the refresh icon at the url bar. Right click and select “Empty cache and hard reload” option. See screenshot: https://ibb.co/ZHqMdch
This is done only in your computer, to reload a new version of your site from the server. So you get the latest version with these changes in it. Browsers save copies of your site in order for the site to load faster. If you do not clear cache, you may not see the real changes made to your site for quite a long time.
No one else opening your site, needs to do this!Let us know.
Best regards!

Hi,
This is also happening to me. How does one identify the third-party plugins vs. the ones that come with the theme (particularly if we had plugins before we installed the theme). Can you link me to a page somewhere that has the full list?
There are a few basic plugins I have that cannot be uninstalled. Yoast comes to mind. Hoping it’s not one of those since I’ve put a lot of time into getting this site redesigned!

Hello,
The plugins that are included within the theme can be found under Appearances > Plugins.
The major and most used plugins on the market doesn’t have problems with the theme.
Regards!

Unfortunately, this solution did not yield any results. It happened even with disabling plugins.

Ruco,
You did not answer my question. I know how to access plugins. However, the list of ALL plugins will include more than just the plugins that come with the theme. I need a list of plugins that come with the theme so that I can identify which plugins to disable. I do not currently know which plugins are third party and which are not.

What info do you need on the profile? I’m afraid I’m not comfortable providing login credentials. Is there any way to troubleshoot without them? Let me know.

Hello,
Almost 90% of forum members has provided the credentials for closer review of issues. You do not need to worry. Your data is safe with us. Also you can remove/change them as soon as your issue is solved.

Hello Mirela,
I added my WP credentials so that you can take a look at the mobile menu loading unreliably. Thank you.

I’d like to point out that I (original poster) have still not received any kind of response to this issue. As stated, I disabled plugins to attempt to isolate the issue, but it still occurred. I have had no subsequent responses or suggestions for how to address the issue. I’m hoping you can help address it. I obviously can’t use a theme that does not let people access my site on smartphones.

Hello,
@ChristopherGFox
I checked your site in actual mobile and desktop simulated mobile layout. I had no issues with the menu. See screenshots:
https://ibb.co/Kq32N87
https://ibb.co/7KpcsnsAre you still having problem? When exactly?
@amandaedens, same here: https://ibb.co/nzkVF9TLet us know.

Hi Mirella,
I too have no issue with the simulated mobile layout.
However, it does not work on an actual mobile device. Here’s what happens:
- Open the site in a browser
- Click the hamburger menu icon
- The hamburger menu icon changes to the X icon, but the mobile menu fails to load
- Refresh the page
- Click the hamburger menu icon
- The mobile menu loads fine after refresh
The phone I tested this on is a Samsung Note 9 on Google Chrome browser.
I cannot confirm that iPhones have the same behavior, but Original Poster mentions that the issues do exist on iPhone. I can ask someone to test iPhone later today to confirm that OP’s iPhone issue also exists on my site.
