More tag not working on Post and on home page

  When I add any post/content, after adding more tag <!–more–> from backend, more tag is not visible on the front end (on home page and post).
  
  Kindly let me know if this is defect and resolution for the same.

  home page -> App strategy (below banner) is having more tags. but more button is not appearing on the home page.
  
  I have entered more tag on the home page for this section from admin panel.

  Sorry for the inconvenience. The use of the ‘Read more’ tag is not possible.
  
  PS:We reply to tickets according to time. The oldest first. As there are always a lot of tickets to attend, replying often to your own topic will only increase the respond time from us.

  You may use the ‘Post Grid’ element, to have ‘Read more’ for post or content. Screenshot.
