Dear Codeless Support.
We have purchased the Tower theme but are unable to use it because the Visual Composer plugin refuses to work. I have tried to deactivate the plugin, as you’ve suggested in other threads, but it simply reactivates itself straight away – so I’m unable to deactivate and delete it.
When using the backend editor, clicking on any of the elements does nothing except generate a console error ‘backend.min.js?ver=4.10:6 Uncaught TypeError: $template.get is not a function’. Once there is any content in the page, the backend editor doesn’t even load – it just has a loading gif that never ends and shows the same error as before.
The frontend editor allows me to add components to the page, but I can’t see them in the editor once they’re added. The console shows this error: ‘frontend-editor.min.js?ver=4.10:7 Uncaught TypeError: _.template(…).trim is not a function’. Again, once there is any content in the page, the frontend editor doesn’t even load.
I have tried using both Chrome and IE, but both behave in exactly the same way.
I am finding this theme very frustrating, and need some support to resolve these issues please. We have already paid for a custom design that utilises this theme, and have already invested many hours into this too. We have to get this working. Please contact me with some advice.

Hello,
What theme version do you have? Please make sure to have the latest update first. Then update Visual Composer from ftp. Follow these steps:
-Using ftp go to wp-content/plugins and delete folder js_composer.
-Go back to your dashboard and install plugin once again following the instructions (screenshot).
Let us know.Best regards!

I had expected to be alerted to theme updates within the WordPress admin interface and didn’t realise that there was a newer version available.
Thank you. Visual Composer with the latest theme version is now working as expected.
