I have an image gallery on my page at onsight.crystalcreekconsulting.com/about-us/ and it is not showing the captions for images. Is there a setting somewhere to enable this, or is it a bug?
The Nivo slider included in theme does not show image caption by default. It is not a bug, it’s how the theme uses it. If you want to add it, then you will need to edit core files.

I’m going to investigate updating the code that sets up the Nivo slider to see if I can make it show the captions. Would you be able to point me toward the file(s) that are handling the Nivo slider? Thank you very much.
The Nivo slider is a Visual composer element, not altered from theme code. You can find it’s code into the plugins files. Follow this path in your server: \wp-content\plugins\js_composer\assets\lib\bower\nivoslider
