It’s not either we prefer the https solution or not, rather than the secure protocol is the reason the activation key is being blocked.
So just deactivate https for 5 minutes > register theme again > reset https.

Or let it unregistered. You can still import demo data and customize it without registering theme.

I had the same issue, however after completely removing SSL from my site, I still got the same error.  What should I try next?  I am unable to use the template I wanted and unable to install the plugins until the registration is complete.

@pf_hosting, the registration is optional. You should be able to use theme ever without registering.
Just import dummy data and proceed in installing included plugins following the instructions in your dashboard (screenshot).

Thank you for clarifying @Mihaila.  I am having two problems in particular… First, I am wanting to install the IT / Hosting company theme but I can’t find it. On the website for this particular template, it listed a IT / Hosting company flavor.  Since this is the kind of business I am running, this is the reason I purchased your template.  When I go through the setup process, it does not list the IT / Hosting company option.  How can I get it?

Second, I have installed all the recommended plugins, but when I go to my site, it says “There is no RevSlider plugin installed” and this is an important part of my site.  Where do I find this plugin?
