Kindly just remember you have not to purchase your licence. As we are providing updated plugin along with our theme. You can download latest theme version which will contain latest plugin too. That will solve your issue of old version.

I uploaded the latest Specular version but the problem on the homepage persists. In wordpress I can’t see all the elements of the page, and the changes I make in the editor are not visible in the preview.

Yes I was able to add a new block, but the page is messed up!
Some of the text turned from French into English, images disappeared and the original blocks and layout vanished!
Can this be fixed or should I rework this page?

As its not sure how this page got messed as you saying just make sure you set your page as you want. And for a note kindly always keep your theme and plugins updated to avoid any such issue in future.
